"Yes, he was affectionate. When I was a kid, he was a god to me for all
the right reasons. I say it as any kid who admired his dad and had a
great relationship with him. He never missed a single Little League
game I had. He's collected every home run ball I ever hit. And he's
still affectionate to me."

"As for what he meant to other people, that was never glorified in our
house. There were no accolades there, no gold records. You wouldn't
know if he had a good year or not. That's the way I try to conduct
myself."

"My father said it himself in an interview many years ago: 'Husband and
wife failed, but mother and father didn't.' People watch those [family
reality] shows and want to see you live a terrible life and embarrass
yourself. But I've got a life that really matters to me, and that's
because of the way I was raised. My ethics are high because my parents
did a great job."

What a great line. For those of us who didn't (or couldn't) make a
marriage work for whatever reason, but whose kids turned out great, it
hits a nerve.

Hear, hear. You can always redeem something.

You can always come back, but you can't come back all the way

You can always come home to Judaism but you can't come back all the way
- especially when it is not clear what form you were were prayerlessly
[ref Helena Springs in Born Again role according to biographers]
practising in the first place. Does Dylan wear tefillin on his penis,
as a sort of contraceptive tourniquet, while borrowing band members'
girlfriends or other people's wives etc? Do Sounes and Heylin wrap
tefillin round their tongues (keyboards) just to cover, atone for,
themselves, in case they got the information/slander wrong? When Dylan
philanders does this slow down the coming of the slow Moshiach train?
If he is wearing tefillin at the time does this cancel out the
deceleration? If he would wear the full outfit on all the right days
and never have concerts on them would the Moshiach come Today?

Jesus: who's got time to keep up with Dylan's (sanitized) restless
pilgrimage.
